Skimming through texts I can barely remember having written, some fair, some good, some not making any sense, most affected by me wanting to much too soon and having too little patience to think ahed or even finish.
And then, I stumbled upon an old friend.
I believe it was when I was around the age of 12 that I fell in love with Roddy Doyle's child novels "the Giggler treatment" & "rover saves christmas." (norwegian titles: Kniserne & Trofast redder julen).
Being me, I was doomed to be inspired, and eventually wrote a 28 page, 7200 word story called "Natti Natt" (Nighty Night). Basic plot: Eight year old Dan is magically transported to Dreamtopia- the place where all your dreams go after you've dreamt them. And it is rather well written at times to, and I cannot help but giggle at certain sentences.
Eventually, as I finished it, it was given to my younger cousin, a girl age 9. She loved it so much she brought it to her school two years later, and her teacher read it for her entire class. They loved it too. I was 14, and had fans. Awesome.
Then I forgot about it.
Untill now. I am currently re-writing and updating it, so that it will make a suitable tale to be read on the evening of December the 23rd. My plan is to deliver it to my cousins younger sister, currently age 9.
If I manage to complete it.
